Coach Beaton and Coach Leigh offered my son, Patrick, an opportunity to play football his post grad year at Williston. It was an amazing experience with great coaches, trainers, and teammates. Williston gave him the second chance he needed after an injury in high school. He was successfully recruited to play D1 football in our home state of Louisiana. Go Ragin’ Cajuns!

Tom Beaton was a phenomenal athletic mentor, and all the teachers got the best out of the students in every way possible. Such a special place, we are so grateful.

In honor of The Shepardson Family

I was a day student that commuted from South Hadley to Williston for six years (started in 7th grade). My daily trajectory if my mom was not driving was to take the 7:20 bus to Elmwood in Holyoke, walk to the house where the Shepardsons lived, get in the back seat of Mr. Shepardson’s 1939 Plymouth Business Coupe, and ride with him and his son Philip to Williston, We usually arrived by 8 AM, in time for classes. With my mom, we were usually a bit later, but still, we got there. After sports in the afternoon we would reverse the process and I would be home on the 6:50 bus. Philip and I were friends and had a good time talking about things at school. Mr. Shepard on was the Director of Admissions, Harvard graduate, French language and literature scholar, inveterate smoker, and always wore a suit and tie and always had a positive attitude. His wife’s name was Olive and she was charming as well. The entire family was a model family and hadva very positive influence on me Great Americans.

Williston was where I met my best friends with whom I still stay in touch daily and play video games. It nurtured my love for music and math and helped me find my passion in XC and Squash. The people I met here have had an unmistakeable impact on my life and I am eternally grateful. I would not be where I am today without Williston.
