The Benedict's Fund

The Benedict’s Fund fuels every aspect of life at The Hive — athletics and the arts, counseling services, experiential learning, faculty development, financial aid and more. As we continue to grow — most recently with the addition of the Elementary and Girls Prep Divisions — so do the needs of our community. Today, our annual budget approaches $24 million; and every gift to The Benedict’s Fund helps bridge the 60% gap not covered by tuition or our endowment.

We remain committed to adapting to the needs of our community and to helping students attend The Hive regardless of their family’s financial situation. To help offset the cost of attendance, every student benefits from a Board of Trustees Scholarship, and 85% of Middle and Prep Division students receive additional financial assistance. So while our community and budget have increased, tuition revenue has remained unchanged (30%). Accessibility for families is critical to upholding this mission, and the generosity of alumni and friends continues to sustain the important work that we do here.

Every gift, no matter the amount, contributes to the transformative experience the School provides to our students. It highlights our collective commitment to fostering a strong and enduring community — a responsibility that we know is not just a one-time act, but one that we all share and uphold every day.
