Without Larry Piatelli I would not have transformed from a rough edged kid to an NCAA athlete and Captain or had the fight to survive stage 4 cancer. Without Jane Piatelli I would not be a great Dad of three successful kids and a husband of 27 years. Without them both I would not be where I am in the corporate world or owning several successful side sports businesses along with real estate. When I say Larry and Jane changed (i.e. saved) my life I can both qualify it and quantify it as the reality for my current family is SO much different from the one I grew up in and with. I fought and built and earned everything because of their influence on me - Alex Moody '89 (proud member/goaltender of the 1988 ('and only' Boys New England Prep Championship hockey team). Hello to my very good hockey buddies Martin and Eric Lacroix, Nick Vachon, Chris D'Orio, Derek Sullivan, Kevin Lydon, Andy Noel (RIP buddy we miss all you so much)

In honor of Joe Repczynski who mentored me and inspired my passion for theater tech and performing arts. I will forever be grateful for his influence on my life.

I left Roxbury Latin to join Governor's in my Junior year. At the getaway weekend at the start of school, Mr. Bragdon approached me with Mr. Piscatelli (sp?), asking what I thought after about 10 days at GDA. I replied that it seemed that GDA was doing a better job of building people with character than RL was doing. To my parents, though, calling home, I replied "At RL, even the nice kids were assholes. Here, even the assholes are nice guys." I believe Bragdon, Bromley, Piscatelli, and the entire staff at that school took great care and were instrumental in developing my generation into the better people that they are today ... and it deserves honoring.

It would be almost impossible to overstate the impact Peter Bragdon had on my life, and I know he had a profound impact on many, many others over the course of his time at Govs. Like so many of us, I received numerous cards and letters from him over the years. Back in 2021 he sent me a lovely card and included this photo from a visit he made to Chicago (I think back in 2003 or 2004). Peter will be missed. He made an extraordinary impact on our community, and leaves an enduring legacy.
