Long time faculty member Bert McLain is ready to ditch her normal attire for something… a little more “festive” this Spring. If 100 faculty and staff participate in Govs Giving Day—even just $5—Bert will spend an entire academic day in a Top Secret Costume.

In just seven hours, 120 of current parents made a gift unlocking $20,000 for The Governor’s Fund. That response sparked something new. A multi-generational Govs family stepped forward with another challenge: If 30 more families give, they will add $10,000 to today’s total. Let’s make them proud!

Just for the Class of 1973: Matching Gift Opportunity
The Class of 1973 wants to get to the top of the Leaderboard. So, for the next 10 classmates who make a gift, you can add $100 to your total gift thanks to an anonymous donor.
Just for the Class of 1975: Matching Gift Opportunity
Your Gift + $50 = Top of the Leaderboard. Every donor from the class of 1975—regardless of the amount given—Spencer Purinton ‘75, P’13,’14,’20 is adding an extra $50 to the pot.
Just for the Class of 1986: Matching Gift Opportunity
To celebrate 40 years since their graduation, the 1986 Reunion Committee has issued a $1 for $1 matching challenge to their classmates. All gifts will be doubled until the class has raised $4,750.
Just for the Class of 1987: Participation Challenge
Lucy Henkes ‘87, P ‘21,’23 and Rob Delena ‘87, P ‘21 are issuing a challenge to the Class of 1987 - if you can reach 19.87% participation among the class, they will donate $1,987 to Govs!
Just for the Class of 1996: Matching Gift Opportunity
A member of the Class of ‘96 will donate $3,000 in honor of their 30th Reunion - only if their classmates come together to raise $3,000. That’s right; this is a dollar-for-dollar matching gift opportunity. Double your gift instantly with this generous opportunity!
Just for the Class of 2001: Participation Challenge
25 donors for 25th Reunion has a nice ring to it, and an anonymous donor agrees! If 25 members of the Class of 2001 give on Giving Day, this donor will contribute $2,500. This is all about participation - gifts of all sizes count to unlock this opportunity!
