The GRAND Tailgate!

Casual wear is perfectly fine for the day. This year, our tailgate theme is perfect for wearing your favorite sports team attire! Because Tennessee weather can change quickly we encourage everyone to dress in layers, as it may be chilly.

Students in K-5th must be attended by an adult during the tailgate festivities, whether that is a parent or grandparent/grand-friend. Teachers will be provided a list beforehand of all parents and grandparents who have registered. Parents are welcome to attend when a grandparent has mobility challenges or there is no grandparent or grand-friend in attendance. We never want a grandparent to feel hindered from coming if support is needed. Otherwise, because this day is intentionally centered on grandparents — and due to space limitations — we kindly ask that parents not attend unless necessary so the day can remain focused on grandparents enjoying dedicated time with their grandchild.

Yes — grand-friends are absolutely welcome, but they must register along with any attending adult visiting our campus. Any special family member — a beloved auntie, a mentor, a neighbor, or a close family friend — may attend in place of a traditional grandparent, and they simply register the same way as all other guests. Due to our tailgate theme, we kindly ask that every child have atleast one adult supervising them at all times.
