Starting in 2026, taxpayers who take the standard deduction (which includes most young professionals) can now deduct up to $1,000 (if single) or $2,000 (if married) in charitable donations—even without itemizing. That means any donation you make to Cardinal Hayes could reduce your taxable income.

Here’s our idea:

Donate $5 for every year since you graduated from Hayes.

It’s a small, meaningful way to stay connected and give back.

Class of 2021? That’s just $25.

Class of 2019? You’re in for $35.

Class of 2024? Just $10.
