The Fund For Brooklyn Friends
For BFS. For Brooklyn. For the World.

Planned Giving at BFS
The 1867 Society, our planned giving society, recognizes the generosity of Brooklyn Friends School alumni, families, grandfamilies and friends who have chosen to remember BFS in their estate plans through a will, trust or other planned gift. If you have already included Brooklyn Friends in your will or as part of another planned gift, we hope you will let us know so that we can recognize and thank you. Please complete the following form to share your intentions with our office.
Endowment Giving
The endowment provides long-term financial sustainability, giving Brooklyn Friends the power to carry out our mission in perpetuity. Gifts to the endowment are permanent assets that allow us to respond to the school’s long-term needs.
Sara Soll Student Engagement Fund
- Close to Sara’s heart, this fund enriches the everyday experience of all BFS students — Preschool through 12th Grade — by supporting visiting authors, field trips, student travel, and guest artists. Watch a video to learn more from Sara about the Fund.
Michael Nill Fund for Faculty Development
- Created in honor of former Head of School Michael Nill, this fund supports the professional growth of our teaching colleagues.
Creating a Named Endowed Fund
Establish an endowed fund in your name, or in honor or memory of a loved one, to give future generations the opportunity to benefit from a BFS education. Funds can be created during your lifetime, over a period of years, or through a bequest.
