In honor of Fred and Bev Price
Mrs Laureano has inspired, mentored and nurtured hundreds of students and my family has been so lucky to have been a part of her magical sphere. I am grateful that my parents introduced cello to me at age 5, and I was so lucky that my parents sent me to Breck to be in Claudette's very first group of Breck Chamber Players from 1982-1988. I learned many lessons from her that I’ve carried throughout my life. Most importantly, to persevere and believe in yourself, and to appreciate all kinds of music. Congratulations to you, Claudette, on an amazing career and all the best to you in your future adventures! Mazel tov!

Our parents were extremely proud of you and would be so happy to see your accomplishments as a musician and teacher. I feel lucky to have had a front-row seat to watch you develop as a conductor, teacher, parent and now grandparent. I am proud of all you have accomplished in your wonderful career. Soon you will be starting a new chapter that I'm sure will prove rewarding both to you and everyone you grace with your love and talent. I look forward to being a part of it.

"Mrs. Laureano is the best. She is strict, but very fun and caring." Kai McCarthy has said this many times since he started playing violin in the orchestra in fifth grade. And I believe this is part of the legacy Mrs. Laureano leaves at our school. She is a wonderful teacher for students and a great model for fellow teachers. We are fortunate to have her.

Mrs.Laureano has always been a model of perfection for me and my kids. She has high standards and expects her musicians to achieve as much of professionalism as possible. My children learned a lot from her not just about excellence in music but also about determination and structure. I loved coming to “StringFests “ throughout the years and every time it was enjoyable and emotional and just beautiful. Mrs. Laureano is a rare kind of person and I am so grateful my children have got to learn from her while playing and growing in her orchestra.

For Ben and Grace, playing in the Breck Orchestra was the culmination of years of studying violin. Through Mrs. Laureano’s guidance and passion for music, their playing grew beyond technique to true musical expression—from the head to the heart. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity she gave them to learn and perform in such an extraordinary orchestra. She has left a lasting mark on their lives as musicians. 🎻

In honor of Claudette Laureano
Claudette Laureano has been, and always will be, Vladimir’s greatest supporter and inspiration. Her rare gift for combining high expectations with deep encouragement has shaped not only his musicianship, but his character. Our son is not only a better musician, but a better person because of her. She has truly guided him to become a responsible and dedicated artist, while teaching our family patience, commitment, and how to believe in and support our child.

In honor of Max and Marcelle Kostrich
In the name of Claudette's loving parents, Max and Marcelle, I know they would have been proud beyond measure to see what a tremendous and positive influence their daughter has had on young musicians over the years she has taught. Music was important to them, and I have no doubt it settles their souls in Heaven to know what a wonderful teacher of music their daughter became. I also am very proud of her as a fellow music teacher and my life mate. It is with much love that I give this gift to acknowledge her tireless work.
