Sponsored by former coach, nurse, teacher, and administrator Amy Gurlea, this special giving challenge celebrates the spirit of the Antilles Hurricanes and the lifelong impact of athletics at Antilles School.
In honor of our first-ever Hurricane Hustle 5K and Antilles’ 75th Anniversary, Amy will be running in remembrance of cherished members of the Antilles community—including former students, faculty, staff, and friends—who have passed but whose presence, leadership, and influence remain an important part of the fabric of Antilles.
Amy’s career at Antilles touched every corner of campus—from the classroom to the sidelines, from the nurse’s office to school leadership. This challenge reflects her deep belief in athletics as a powerful teacher of resilience, teamwork, discipline, and heart.
All gifts made through the Amy Gurlea Hurricane Challenge directly support Antilles athletic programs, ensuring today’s student-athletes have the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to grow—on the field and beyond.
