What is the Family Jam?

A:

The Family Jam is a party at Valley Charter Elementary School on February 21st for the whole family, featuring fun activities, In N Out food truck, an online auction, raffle baskets, and a live performance by the VCES Dad Band. It’s a community-building fundraiser that supports important VCES programs.

Where does the money raised from Family Jam go?

A:

The funds raised from the Family Jam directly support key programs at Valley Charter Elementary School. These include our TA program, field trips, reading intervention, and enrichment programs like music and yoga. We are proud to invest these funds in enhancing the academic and social experience for all students, and your support allows us to continue providing these opportunities.

When is the Family Jam event?

A:

The Family Jam will take place on February 21, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the VCES courtyard. The event will feature happy hour, dinner, activities, and entertainment. Here’s the complete schedule.

How do I purchase tickets for Family Jam?

A:

Purchase them on this site. Go to Buy Tickets, and select the Entry Ticket option. Please note: You must purchase a ticket for every member of your family (4 and older) who will attend.

What does the ticket price include?

A:

A ticket for Family Jam includes access to the event, appetizers, coffee, dessert, (donated by Barclay’s Coffee and Tea) and a signature drink. You will also have access to the activities and entertainment, including the Dad Band concert!

Q:

I don't want to purchase tickets online. Can I buy them with cash or check instead?

A:

Yes! You can purchase tickets with cash/check in the school office.

Q:

When should I buy tickets for the Family Jam?

A:

You can buy tickets anytime between right now and the night of the event!

Will dinner be served at the Family Jam?

A:

Yes! Back by popular demand, the In N Out good truck will serve burgers and drinks from 5-6:30. You must purchase a ticket for the food truck. Dinner includes: hamburger/cheeseburger, fountain drink and chips.

NEW THIS YEAR: Pre-order a Sharky’s caesar salad on the registration form. Pickup available 5-6:30pm at the event.

We encourage you to purchase this ticket in advance of the event! Last year, we sold out during the event.

How do I register for the online auction and how do I bid?

A:

BID LIKE IT’S 1999!

To participate in the online auction:

Registration: Register on this site, or visit the online auction site and create an account. This will allow you to browse available items, place bids, and track your activity. Online bidding will start on February 13th.

Bidding: Once registered, you can bid on auction items by following the instructions on the website. You can choose to be notified by text if you’re outbid, so you can place a higher bid if you wish.

Payment: Once the auction ends on February 22nd at 1pm, you will receive an invoice for the items you’ve won. Payments can be made via the auction platform, and we also accept Venmo for your convenience.

Item Pickup: Physical items will be available for pick up in the school office the week following the Family Jam. Unfortunately, we will be unable to mail physical items, they must be picked up. Digital items will be emailed to winners the week following the event.

How does billing work for items I win in the auction?

A:

When the auction ends, you’ll receive an invoice for any items you’ve won. You can pay the invoice through the auction website. If you prefer, we also accept payments via Venmo. The auction platform will guide you through the checkout process, and you’ll be prompted to pay once the auction closes.

Are there any additional costs at the event?

A:

Yes, there will be additional costs for activities, raffles, and the auction. Activities will require raffle ticket purchases, which are priced separately, and raffle tickets can also be purchased for a chance to win fantastic prizes.

Q:

What is a staff raffle party and how does my student win?

A:

A staff raffle party is a fun after-school event hosted by VCES teachers and staff. Each party has a different theme and lots of exciting activities for a small group of lucky winners.

To give your child the chance to attend one of these parties, parents must purchase raffle tickets. The more tickets purchased, the greater the chances of winning a spot at one of these parties. For more information about the available themes and how to enter, please visit the staff raffle page.

Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.

Raffle tickets will be available for purchase the week of the event (February 17-20) at the front and back gates before and after school. Raffle tickets are also available for purchase online (pick up at the event) and during the event on February 21st. All staff raffle party boxes will be at the event.
