Support VCMS students this fall! Your generous donation funds field trips, free after school sports, and 8th grade graduation activities. All students who raise $150+ will be invited to a special Puppy Party on December 10th!
What is the Viper Fund?
The Viper Fund is VCMS’s fall fundraising campaign that supports programs not covered by state funding, including field trips, free after-school sports, and 8th grade graduation activities.
How will my Viper Fund donation be used?
Your donation will be used to fund:
🚌 Field trips that connect learning to the real world
🏀 After-school sports that build teamwork and perseverance
🎓 8th grade graduation activities that celebrate milestones and create lifelong memories
What is the fundraising goal?
Our goal is to raise $15,000 with 100% family participation.
When does the campaign run?
The campaign runs from October 8 through November 20, 2025.
How much should each student raise?
We encourage each family to contribute or raise at least $150 per student. Some families will give more, some less—all donations are welcome and appreciated. Students who raise $150+ will win an invitation to a Puppy Party on December 10th after school.
How can I donate?
There are three ways to donate:
- Make a lump sum donation (online, cash, or check). To donate online: find your student’s name on the Give Now page, and choose your donation amount. Or, drop off cash or a check in the school office.
- Set up a recurring monthly donation. Click Give Now and enter your monthly donation amount. Select “Make this a recurring donation” and choose how often you’d like to donate (monthly, quarterly, or annually).
- Student-led fundraising: Encourage your student to collect $10-$20 cash/check donations from friends, family and neighbors in their fundraising envelope. Donors can also donate online by scanning the QR code on the donation envelope, which links directly to your student’s fundraising page.
- Sell See’s Candy chocolate bars to friends, family and neighbors. Purchase chocolate bars in the school offices, pick up a sales kit and recoup your money! A percentage from each purchase chocolate bar will be credited to your student’s online fundraising page.
Don’t forget to find your student’s fundraising page when you give so that your donation counts toward their fundraising total!
Smaller, monthly online donations are the right option for my family. How do I set up a recurring payment?
Smaller monthly or quarterly recurring donations make a BIG difference for VCMS fundraising.
Setting up a recurring online payment is easy: Click the “Give Now” button, find your student’s fundraising page, and check the “I want to make this a recurring donation” box. You will be prompted to set up a monthly, quarterly, semiannually or annual payment.

Do I have to donate with a credit card?
No! You can drop a cash or check donation off in either school office.
I want to double my donation! What is Company Matching?
Many companies offer matching donations for non-profit gifts. Check with your company’s human resources department, and if they match donations, let them know that you plan to give to Valley Charter Schools this year. VCS is classified as a 501(C)3 non-profit organization and our Tax ID is 27-0174003. All donations are tax-deductible, and we will generate a donation receipt upon request for your yearly taxes.
What is student-led fundraising?
Encourage your student to make a difference in their school community!
Students can raise money directly by asking friends, family, and neighbors for $10–$20 donations. Cash and checks can be collected in their donation envelope, or families can share their student’s QR code to accept online donations. Fundraising progress is tracked on the envelope, and all donations must be received by November 20th.
When students raise $150 or more, they will be invited to the Puppy Party! Every contribution supports programs like field trips, after-school sports, and 8th-grade graduation activities.
How does the See's Candy chocolate sales fundraiser work?
Families can purchase See’s Candy chocolate bars to sell and earn credit toward their fundraising goal. A full box of 24 bars costs $72, with $40 credited to your student. Individual bars are $3 each, with $1.70 credited back. Chocolates can be sold at family gatherings, church, or after-school events—just let friends, family, and neighbors know! Every sale supports field trips, after-school sports, graduation activities, and helps your student get closer to the Puppy Party reward.
Purchase chocolate bars in either school office, and pick up a sales kit!
What if we can’t give $150?
Every contribution makes a difference. Families who give what they can, encourage others to donate, or participate in fundraising sales help us move closer to our goal.
What happens if we raise more than $15,000?
Exceeding our goal means we can provide even more robust programs, activities, and support for students across all grade levels.
How is participation tracked?
Donations made online, by check, or in cash are credited to each student’s fundraising profile. Chocolate sales and envelope collections also count toward participation. All donations must be made by November 20th to be counted toward prizes. Students who have collected money in their donations envelope must turn them in by this date.
Will I receive repeated email requests after I donate $150?
No. Once you donate, you’ll stop receiving personalized email fundraising requests and will only get updates, incentive reminders, and progress reports in the weekly school newsletter.
How else can families help?
Share the campaign with extended family, friends, and neighbors. Encourage your student to participate in fundraising activities, and spread the word about how the Viper Fund strengthens the VCMS community.
