What is the Annual Fund and why is it neccessary?
As with most independent schools, tuition and fees do not fully cover all of St. Monica School’s expenses. The Annual Fund fills that gap. Gifts made to the Annual Fund directly support each student by supporting essential academic and extracurricular programs, retaining outstanding educators, and covering operational needs and expenses. The Annual Fund supports our mission to collaborate with parents in educating and developing the whole child, so they may maximize their human potential, fulfill their God-given purpose, and flourish in a Christ-centered and rigorous academic environment.
Why is 100% participation so important?
Simply put, giving a gift to St. Monica Catholic School is an endorsement of our school! Parent, faculty and alumni participation are essential to our school community. Foundations and companies awarding grants often look at overall participation of a school’s community in fundraising efforts.
How much should I give?
A gift that is meaningful to your family is meaningful to SMCS. While the amount varies for each family or contributor, a gift at any level makes an impact. Last year, gifts to the Annual fund ranged from $20 to $80,000.
How is the Annual Fund different from the Make A Difference ask?
The Annual Fund provides vital support for St. Monica School’s operational needs, programs, and expenses during the current fiscal year.
At our annual Holy Hoedown, our community comes together to Make-A-Difference by funding a special school project or campus improvement.
