Academy of the Sacred Heart Alumnae Annual Giving

As alumnae of Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau, we learned what it meant to lead with love, to serve with compassion, and to walk boldly in faith. For each of us, this place is more than a school—it’s a foundation that shaped who we are.

Today, our mission remains as vital as ever: to make the future noble by forming the hearts and minds of young people in a challenging, innovative academic environment that reflects the aims and ideals of Sacred Heart education.

Annual Giving is one of the most important ways our alumnae community helps make this mission possible. These flexible resources strengthen every aspect of the student experience—from academic and programmatic innovation and growth, to faculty professional development, to the care and enhancement of our historic campus.

Last Year’s Impact

Last year, alumnae gave more than $95,000 to Annual Giving—nearly half of the total Annual Giving support. This extraordinary generosity demonstrates the lasting connection our alumnae have to the Academy and their commitment to ensuring that today’s students have the opportunity to experience the same transformative Sacred Heart education.

This Annual Giving support helped provide scholarships to 19 ASH students. Through the generosity of the Class of 2026, the Class of 1991, and other Annual Giving donors, we were able to renovate Memorare Hall with fresh paint, new carpet, new blinds, and new sound equipment. These improvements made an immediate difference to a beloved space on our campus—one that has been part of countless Sacred Heart memories and continues to serve today’s students.

A Special Alumnae Project: Upper School Science Lab

In addition to making your Annual Giving gift, alumnae have a new opportunity this year to support a special project sponsored by the ASH Alumnae Board: new equipment for the Upper School Science Lab.

Annual Giving remains our first priority. Your Annual Giving gift provides the flexible support the Academy needs throughout the year, and we encourage every alumna to make her Annual Giving contribution first. Once you have made that gift, if you would like to make an additional contribution, we invite you to consider supporting the Science Lab project.

This special project will help to bring the Upper School Science Lab up to date with new equipment that will enhance hands-on learning and expand what students can do in the lab. Updated equipment will enable students to conduct deeper investigations, longer-term experiments, and more advanced scientific work. It will also improve safety and provide students with a more modern environment.
