Q:

What is Red Carpet week?

A:

Red Carpet Week is the official kickoff of our annual Halo Fund campaign. Throughout the week, we’ll celebrate our school community, share the impact of the Halo Fund, and invite every St. Michael family to play a starring role by making a gift. Our goal is simple…Every Family. Every Gift. Every Future.

Q:

Why are we asking every family to participate?

A:

Participation is one of the strongest indicators of a healthy and engaged school community. Foundations and major donors often look at family participation when deciding whether to invest in a school. When every family participates—regardless of the amount—it demonstrates a shared commitment to our mission and strengthens our ability to secure additional funding.

Q:

Does the size of my gift matter?

A:

We are hopeful that every family will make a gift that is meaninful to them. We understand that every family has different cirucumstances that affect their giving that they must consider. However, we cannot emphasize enought that EVERY GIFT MATTERS. Whether you give $10, $100, or $1,000, your participation helps strengthen our school. Our goal during Red Carpet Week is to increase the number of families who support the Halo Fund.

Q:

Can I make payments instead of giving all at once?

A:

Absolutely. Many families choose to make recurring monthly gifts, making it easier to support the school while creating a meaningful impact over time.

Q:

Can I make my gift later in the year?

A:

Yes! Gifts are welcome throughout the year, but you can make a pledge in anticipation of your annual gift. Making your pledge commitment during Red Carpet Week helps us build momentum, increase family participation, and demonstrate strong community support from the very beginning of the campaign.

Q:

Will my gift amount and my name be shared?

A:

Only if you want it to. Every gift is appreciated and handled confidentially. We celebrate participation, not the size of individual gifts. And families are welcome to choose to remain anonymous in their giving as well.

Q:

What should my child expect during Red Carpet Week?

A:

Red Carpet Week is designed to be a fun and exciting kickoff to our Halo Fund campaign! Students can look forward to a Hollywood-themed atmosphere with red carpet décor, music at drop-off, daily milestone updates, and school-wide celebrations as we work toward our participation goals.

Q:

Will students be asked to donate to the school or will my child know whether my family has made a gift?

A:

No. All Halo Fund communications and giving opportunities are directed to parents and families. Students are invited to enjoy the excitement of Red Carpet Week, but they will never be asked to make a donation. We celebrate our school’s collective participation, not individual family giving. We are committed to ensuring every student feels included throughout the week.

Q:

Will every student get to participate in the fun activities and will students be excluded from activities if their family does not make a gift?

A:

Red Carpet Week is a celebration for our entire school community. School-wide activities, decorations, and milestone celebrations are for everyone to enjoy as we work together toward our participation goals. Every student is invited to participate in Red Carpet Week activities and celebrations. Our focus is on bringing our community together, and we want every child to feel included as we celebrate St. Michael’s and our amazing community.

Q:

What happens if the campaign reaches the participation milestones?

A:

As participation grows, the whole school unlocks celebrations together:

25% Participation: Crazy Sock Day

50% Participation: Popsicles for every student

80% Participation: Dunk Dr. Teller

Q:

What is Red Carpet Day?

A:

Red Carpet Day is Friday August 28th. Think classic movie stars and timeless elegance—a chance to play dress-up and celebrate the glamour of Hollywood’s golden age.

Ideas include:

Fancy dresses or party dresses

Suits, sport coats, ties, or bow ties

Suspenders, pearls, gloves, or hats

Sunglasses worthy of a movie premiere

Sequins, sparkles, or anything with a touch of Hollywood flair

No need to buy anything new! Feel free to get creative by using items you already have at home. Whether your child arrives looking like a classic movie star, a film director, or a glamorous awards show guest, the goal is simply to have fun and celebrate together.

We’ll roll out the red carpet and welcome our stars as they arrive for a blockbuster day at St. Michael!
