“I am very grateful to have found this truly exceptional school for my son. I am thankful for the small class sizes, intensive music education, caring community, rigorous education and all the day-to-day small things that make it so unique - like stock market club, the maker space, rhetoric classes, and more. In this challenging pandemic year I am particularly appreciative of the teachers, administration, and faculty who are dedicated and committed to the boys and to advancing their education and character formation while keeping them safe and healthy with full in-person learning.”

I never knew what my boy was capable of until he was at St Paul’s, that he’d be so ready for new challenges and possibilities. His heart and mind expanded the moment he walked through the door.

Boys can sometimes end up on the margins, but St Paul’s has been educating boys since 1963. It’s a place where every boy is understood, valued and celebrated. It’s a traditional program in a progressive setting. Latin, classic literature, music theory and debate, right in the heart of Harvard Square.

We think about their music in terms of what it means to us, yet we overlook what it brings to them – it’s a lot of fun for them to sing with their friends and to take pride in training to perform at a world-class level. One minute, they’ll be singing like angels in the choir loft, the next, they’ll be throwing snowballs at each other in the courtyard. At St Paul’s, they work hard, but they also have fun. Often, it’s a teacher who will throw the first snowball!

When you walk around the corridors of St Paul’s, it feels nothing like an institution, rather, it feels like you’re part of a welcoming and comforting home. In 3rd grade they are introduced to debate, learning to respect and understand others’ views. Our nation has been divided as never before, yet one need only look to St Paul’s for the next generation of leaders and thinkers.

In a year when most kids around the country had not seen the inside of a classroom, St Paul’s devoted every resource to provide families with a phenomenal school year, one in which boys were safe and happy. My son’s teacher’s daily goals are that the boys learn and they laugh. What else could I ask for?

“Saint Paul’s Choir School has been a beacon of light during a dark time. Our family is so grateful for the above-and-beyond dedication of the administration, teachers, and families that have put the health, education, and wellbeing of the boys at the forefront of this school year. Extensive preparations that took place over the summer has made Saint Paul’s Choir School a model for other schools. The shift to the “new normal” was brilliant and gave the boys a sense of stability in very precarious times. Our son loves his school, his teachers, and his friendships and for that we THANK YOU!”
