What is the Lions Fund?
The Lions Fund is the annual fundraising initiative that provides opportunities for parents, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, faculty and staff to secure the continued quality of a St. Andrew’s education.
How is the Lions Fund different from capital or campaign gifts?
Gifts to the Lions Fund have an impact on students during the current school year. Campaign and capital gifts support long-term priorities such as facilities, endowment, and strategic initiatives.
What's the difference between the Lions Fund and Fund-A-Scholar?
The Lions Fund supports the school’s greatest needs each year and benefits every student, faculty member, and program. Fund-A-Scholar is dedicated specifically to financial aid, helping make a St. Andrew’s education accessible to talented students from a wide range of backgrounds. Both are essential to fulfilling the school’s mission.
Why is participation important?
Strong participation demonstrates a united and engaged community. High participation rates send a powerful message to prospective families, foundations, and major donors that St. Andrew’s is worthy of investment.
Can I make a recurring gift?
Absolutely. Monthly recurring gifts are an easy way to support the school and can often be increased gradually over time.
What does my gift support?
The Lions Fund supports every aspect of the St. Andrew’s experience, including:
Exceptional faculty and staff
Academic innovation
Arts and athletics
Financial aid
Professional development
Campus programs and resources
Will my gift be recognized?
Donors are recognized in the school’s annual report unless they choose to remain anonymous.
Can my employer match my gift?
Many employers offer matching gift programs. Check with your employer to see if your gift can be doubled or even tripled.
Can I support the Lions Fund through a donor-advised fund, stock, or other non-cash assets?
Yes. There are many ways to support the Lions Fund beyond a credit card or check. Donors may make gifts through:
Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs)
Appreciated securities or stock
Wire transfers
