What is the Raven Fund?
As with all independent schools, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of educating our students. Currently, the gap between tuition and operating expenses is about $5000 per student. These remaining costs are covered by philanthropic donations to the Raven Fund.
Does the Ross School publish a list of donors to the Raven Fund?
YES! The school’s Annual Report, published in the fall, lists each donor and supporter of the school. Ross School’s fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30, in alignment with the academic year. All gifts are recognized in the Annual Report according to this fiscal year.
What if I only attended Ross School for one year?
Once a Raven, always a Raven!! Even if you were at Ross for just a single year, you are part of your class - and your class is stronger with you in it! Every alum counts in this challenge, and your participation helps your class soar to the top!
Is this my only opportunity to make a gift this year?
Not at all! Our fiscal year runs through June 30, 2025, so you have all year to make a gift. Giving Week is designated to kickstart the year and rally as many members of our Ross community as possible. We’ll also celebrate philanthropy at other exciting moments throughout the year, including #GivingTuesday (December 2, 2025), the Ross School Gala (Saturday, February 7), the Ross School Family Festival (Saturday, May (date TBD), and another concert next summer! Remember - any gift made during the fiscal year counts toward your overall participation. However, only gifts made during Giving Week will be included in the official participation numbers for this challenge!
