Invest in the Heart of Regina: A Media Center for the Future
Vision for the Renovated Media Center
The reimagined Regina High School Media Center will serve as the central hub of the school—a dynamic, multifunctional space where students, faculty, and staff gather to learn, collaborate, and create. More than just a library, the space will reflect the evolving needs of 21st-century learners while remaining rooted in our school’s mission of excellence, innovation, and community.
- Modern Workspace for a Modern Learner: The updated Media Center will be designed as a flexible, modern workspace that supports a range of academic and creative pursuits. With open seating, quiet zones, and tech-integrated study areas, students will be able to choose how and where they work—fostering autonomy, focus, and productivity.
- Art Gallery Showcase: A dedicated student art gallery within the Media Center will celebrate creativity and provide a rotating display of visual art projects from across all grade levels. This gallery will not only beautify the space but also reinforce Regina’s commitment to the arts, offering students a professional platform to showcase their work.
- Collaborative Learning Zones: The renovation will include two distinct collaborative workspaces, each equipped with modular furniture, writable surfaces, and interactive displays. These areas will be ideal for group projects, club meetings, peer tutoring, and interdisciplinary lessons—encouraging teamwork, critical thinking, and real-world problem solving.
- Up-to-Date Technology Integration: The Media Center will feature cutting-edge technology to support research, media production, and digital learning. Access to tools such as high-speed Wi-Fi, interactive screens, charging stations, and multimedia equipment will ensure that students are prepared for both academic success and the demands of the modern world.
