What are the different race options?
There are different race options to accommodate all ages and abilities:
Walk the Course: Prior to the run, all our welcomed to walk a shortened loop of the course (about 2K) for those that prefer to walk, or any runners that want that may not be familiar with our cross-country trials.
5K Run: For those who feel they can complete the full course. You can run the full distance at your own pace. This option may not be suitable for young children.
Family Fun Relay: A relay-style race (1 Mile) where family members can participate together in a fun and inclusive way. Each loop is 1/4 of a mile - this is a loop that will be familiar to many students from their PE Classes and mileage club runs.
Who can participate?
Anyone can participate! Invite your family, friends and neighbors, this event is open to all members of our greater community. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or looking for a fun family activity, there’s an option for you.
Do I need to register in advance?
Yes, we encourage pre-registration to ensure a smooth event experience and guarantee a t-shirt. Last-minute and same day registration may be available if space allows.
What should I bring?
Wear comfortable athletic shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and any personal items you may need during the event.
Can I bring my stroller or pet?
Strollers are welcome on campus but are not suitable on the trails that will be used during the 5k.
Pets are not allowed.
Will there be awards or prizes?
We will recognize first, second and third place of the 5k run/walk.
The family relay is all about fun, all participants will receive a finisher’s token to celebrate their achievement.
What happens in case of bad weather?
The event will proceed rain or shine unless conditions become unsafe. In case of cancellation, updates will be posted through email communications as well as on our social media.
