Why am I being asked to give when i already pay tuition?
The running costs of the school are higher than the income received through tuition. The school intentionally budgets to fundraise for around 15% of our income needs so that we can keep tuition lower and offer the highest amount of tuition support of any independent school around.
When does my gift need to be in?
We are encouraging all families to give by year end. The annual budget for the next calendar year is set in January, so it is crucial to have gifts and pledges in by December 31. If this is not possible, families have until the end of the fiscal year, June 30, for their gift to count in this year’s campaign.
We have other kids in private school and one in college so we are on a tight budget.
We understand. Participation is key. No gift is too small, and all gifts are appreciated. Did you know that total gifts of $200 of less added up to over $77,000 last year?
I can't afford a large gift. How will my contribution make a difference?
Every gift, no matter the amount, is important to the success of the New Roads Annual Fund. Parent participation is key when reaching out to foundations and corporations for their support. Gifts of $200 or less totaled over $77,000.
