June For Jack!

He showed a great sense of humor while being a strict educator.

We didn’t know Mr Malarkey but we are happy to support Estelle’s upcoming school.

Mr. Malarkey was a true gentleman! He supported Marian in all ways possible and is the main reason why the school remains what it is today.

Jack was the first man to greet me as I stepped foot into Marian Catholic back in 1972. He shook my hand and gave me a mass card for the loss of my father that took place two weeks prior to starting school. I still get the shows about that till today. He left a lasting impression for sure.

Mr Malarkey was kind and fair. His commitment to Marian and Marian students was an inspiration to me and many of my classmates.

I never met him, but I am always hearing beautiful stories and things about his legacy

Mr. Malarkey never stopped giving back to Marian!

The most important lesson that Mr Malarky taught me was to pray “The Serenity Prayer”. During my time at MHS, he started every day over announcements with that prayer. I’ve continued to pray it multiple times a day since I graduated in 1977. That’s almost 50 years! It has been my comfort & my guiding light for decades. Thank you Jack for teaching me how to pray! You continue to influence my life daily.

Mr. Malarkey appeared strict when he needed to be, but had a huge heart for Marian and all students. It was fun working with him for Sunday evening Bingo. More than a teacher, more than a disciplinarian, more like a friend!

Dedication and commitment..A legacy.

Mr. Malarkey taught me the importance of educating students in the Catholic Schools as I was a teacher at St. John Neumann Regional School for 30 years. He also taught me the value of respect as he did that with everyone he came in contact with. I will always remember his tireless work done at the picnics as I was able to quench his thirst as he worked in the sausage and peppers stand. He called out my name and I knew what he wanted! Thanks, Mr.Malarkey, for the memories.

Dedicated, disciplined and competent teacher, Strong leadership skills, A man of well-deserved honorand respect. Able to motivate students to put in the hard work / effort to succeed both in the classroom and life.

Mr. Malarkey was such a great person. Someone that you can always count on. He truly was Special and will be missed.

Mr. Malarkey was a wonderful Christian man. He was my History teacher in, I think ,Freshman year at St. Jerome's. He was always friendly and interested in how everthing was going. My Mother worked in the cafeteria at Marian when it first opened and was there for twenty some years. Mr. and Mrs. Malarkey came to her funeral in 2011. I will never forget his kindness. Mr. Malarkey impacted my life by his dedication and love of Marian and the lasting effects that it has had throughout the years.
