Carol Trotter Memorial Scholarship

Carol Trotter devoted her career to helping students discover confidence in themselves through learning. After following her calling to become an educator, she spent her career as a beloved mathematics teacher at Lake Catholic High School, where she had a remarkable gift for making challenging concepts understandable while encouraging every student to believe they were capable of success. Her sincere love for mathematics was contagious, and her patience, kindness, and unwavering commitment to her students left a lasting impression on generations of Cougars. Many former students still fondly remember celebrating Pi Day with Mrs. Trotter, a tradition that reflected her ability to make learning both meaningful and fun.

To honor Carol’s life and legacy, the Trotter family has established the Carol Trotter Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to a Lake Catholic student who demonstrates financial need, a strong work ethic, and an interest in mathematics, reflecting the qualities Carol valued most throughout her career.
