In honor of Lisa McMahon
You were only my English teacher for (I think) half a year before becoming my principal. But the lesson she taught me on Metaphors really stuck with me. I feel like as I go through my life, my understanding evolves. It was one of the lessons I learned at Lab that still keeps giving. Not to mention, shes funny, like haha! Funny, funny. Some of the jokes made during Labs trip to Costa Rica in 2011 still make me laugh today. Thanks Lisa! Keep up the good work!!

Thank you for not just being a terrific math and science teacher, but also being very supportive towards the students, including me. I'm so grateful to have had you as my teacher for three of my four years in high school. You were always there for me, and I loved getting to know you over the years. I also remember you being one of the first to embrace me after I learned that I was autistic, which came at a pivotal moment in my life. You have made such a positive influence on me, and I'm forever grateful to have built this special bond with you as one of my favorite Lab School teachers. Sincerely, June Durkee '17

I wish to sincerely thank every Lab teacher I had. All were selflessly dedicated to the students and kind. But in particular, I wish to thank Mr. Loftus, Mr. Omerod, Sean Rozsics, Susan Carter, Mr. Aragona, Mr. Sherman, Ms. Wise and Mrs. Wolk for helping me develop my interests in various fields and taking an interest in me during such a critical time. I also wish to thank Trudy Fleisher for her invaluable advice and guidance, as well as Loretta Gibson and the OTs.

The teachers at Lab School have taught me and countless others lessons that we will never forget. The good memories, the laughs, and the friendships I've made with each and every one of them will remain a part of my life and have helped to shape me into the person I've become today. Thank you, every one of you. You're making a difference in everyone's life for the better.

Some of the best teachers I had also had learning disabilities . My junior high reading teacher told us she had dyslexia. I had trouble with reading comprehension and she showed me if someone else with a reading related disability could enjoy reading books, then I could as well. My liking for reading took a new turn and i began reading books outside of class assignments.
