Teacher Appreciation Week

In honor of Tyler Hill

Tyler was one of four of my closest friends in high school. Back then, he was such a wonderful and kind young man, and I can only imagine how wonderful and kind of a teacher he is for the kids at Lab today. I was hoping to attach a picture of Will, Sebastian, Tyler, and myself; But we are all having too much fun back then to take any that I could find! So here's an old memory that I am very fond of 💕 Tyler was an incredible actor in High School, and in tandem with Will and Sebastian, they fostered roaring laughter in that theater. I'm so thankful to have known them growing up. Cheers to many more years!

Rest in peace to Sally Smith

Mrs. Kirkpatrick, Mrs. Barr, Mr. Loftus, Karen (art) and most of all Mr. Meltzer who was a teacher and became head of middle and high school and SAVED MANY OF US who wouldn’t have made it without him or them. Most of all Sally for providing a space to be saved.

In honor of Sally Smith

I will never forget how she made me feel when I walked in thoes doors,so many years ago. I knew right away I belonged and I can never thank her enough. I miss her and will never forget what she did for us.

Hey, darn right! I owe Sean Rozsics everything for the gift of music. All of the amazing teachers I had the privilege of learning from were selfless. They exhausted themselves providing the finest education to special children.

Thank you, Mr. Moverman, for teaching me throughout high school. I am forever grateful to have you as my teacher, and also an incredible mentor and friend to me over the years.

In honor of Mr. Jarvis

The Best Art Teacher in the entire World.

So many amazing teachers! Mrs. Brazier got me to love reading, Mr. Jarvis taught me the foundations of drawing and to find the details in art, Tanya taught me to love basketball and lead a team. I can’t thank them enough.

Marla Brazier. My favorite teacher. I had her for 3 years in elementary school.

You all are continuing to turn the students that are often struggling, disheartened, or lost into the future leaders of tomorrow. The reason I went from a kid who did not believe in themselves to being a proactive leader in whichever community I step into is due, in large part, to the teachers at Lab who encouraged day in and day out.
