In memory of Nancy Purdy '47
Nancy Linn Purdy, Kent Place Class of 1947, passed away on January 31, 2024. Nancy served on the KPS Board from 1999–2002 and was a committed alumna and member of the Kent Place community and passionately supported the mission of the school. In 2002, Nancy received the “Barbara Wight Biddison ’30 Distinguished Alumna Award.” After Kent Place, Nancy went on to earn her BA from Vassar College. She then entered the workforce and was vice president/group head for a major advertising firm in NYC upon her retirement. Nancy was an inspirational philanthropist for Kent Place and generously participated as a Founder's Day challenge match donor for each of the last five years. Thanks in part to her inspirational support, Founders Day has become an incredible celebration of Kent Place's mission and has a huge impact on our students and community. Her legacy of joy and celebration around our mission will continue to be a gift to Kent Place.
