Head-Royce Count-Me-In Parties
Count-Me-In Parties bring our community together through fun, community-hosted gatherings.
Who can host a Count-Me-In Party?
Any Head-Royce parent or guardian, faculty member, or staff member is welcome to host, and you can host with a group. The number of hosts depends on the scope of the event. One or two hosts work well for smaller gatherings, while larger events may have a small team. It is helpful to have 1-2 lead hosts who stay in touch with the Count-Me-In Party committee.
Who is responsible for the costs of a Count-Me-In Party?
Because Count-Me-In Parties are fundraisers, party hosts cover all costs of their event. Host groups can decide how to divide expenses. Some split costs evenly, while others divide based on contributions. Many groups use apps like Splitwise to track costs and split expenses.
How much should we charge for our Count-Me-In Party?
The Count-Me-In Committee will work with hosts to set a participation amount that feels right for the size, style, and goals of your party. Pricing is typically per person, which helps track attendance and plan for capacity.
Are Count-Me-In Parties fundraisers?
Yes. Count-Me-In parties strengthen our community and raise support for tuition assistance, faculty professional development, and Heads Up. Because hosts cover event expenses, guest participation directly benefits the school.
How do registration and payment work?
Party sign-ups will open March 27, and families may browse and register for their preferred event(s) online through our Count-Me-In Party Marketplace platform, Boost My School. Parties fill on a first-come, first-served basis.
How will I know how signed up for my Count-Me-In Party?
Hosts will receive attendee lists with contact information from the Count-Me-In Committee after sign-ups close on April 10. Hosts are responsible for communicating with attendees and sharing event details as the party approaches.
I have an idea for a party, but I want to workshop it first. Who can I speak with?
Fantastic! The Count-Me-In Committee is happy to brainstorm with you and can help you think through themes, logistics, capacity, and pricing.
What happens if an a Count-Me-In Party sells out?
Events have limited capacity. Once an event reaches its maximum, sign-ups will close. If possible, additional interest will be added to a waitlist. We encourage you to sign up early!
