HB DAF Day 2026
Give from your donor-advised fund. Support HB girls.
What is a donor-advised fund (DAF)?
A donor-advised fund is a charitable giving account you set up through a sponsoring organization (like Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or Vanguard Charitable). You contribute to the fund, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from it to nonprofits — like Hathaway Brown.
What is DAF Day?
DAF Day is the national giving day for donor-advised funds — the fastest-growing form of philanthropy in the country.
What if I don't have a DAF - can I still make a gift?
Absolutely! DAF Day is a great occasion to support HB, but you don’t need a donor-advised fund to participate. You can make gift via credit card, check or stock transfer. Contact the Office of Advancement at 216-3320-8110 or [email protected].
Will my DAF gift count toward my Hathaway Brown giving history?
Yes — DAF grants are recorded and recognized the same as any other gift, and they count toward cumulative giving totals and donor society recognition (though not toward pledge fulfillment, per IRS rules above).
