There is something sacred about a story.

They are how we remember who we were—and discover who we are becoming.

On this special evening, we invite you into a live storytelling experience honoring 50 years of coeducation at Gonzaga Preparatory School.

You’ll hear from women whose lives were shaped by the courage to step into something new—walking hallways where few had gone before, helping transform a school, and, in the process, shaping the community we know today.

Through heartfelt, humorous, and deeply human stories, you’ll experience what it meant to be among the first—and how those moments rippled forward into lives of leadership, service, faith, and purpose.

This evening is part of a larger storytelling project, 50 Stories for 50 Years, where we are capturing and sharing these voices throughout the year. We invite you to explore the stories that have already been shared—and those still to come—on our storytelling page. ** These stories will also be preserved in a commemorative coffee table book, created as a lasting tribute to the women who helped shape Prep.

These are stories of boldness and becoming, of challenge and growth, of friendship, uncertainty, courage, and the quiet moments that form us. And while these stories begin with women, they belong to all of us. Because the decision to become coeducational did not just change who walked the halls, it changed what it meant to be part of Gonzaga Prep.

This is not a lecture or a program. It is an experience. An evening to laugh, reflect, reconnect, and be reminded of the lasting impact of a Jesuit education, one that forms the whole person and continues to shape lives long after graduation.

Whether you are an alum, a current parent, a student, or new to the Prep community, this evening is for you. Because we are all part of a story that began long before us and is still being written.
