Gonzaga Prep’s Capital Campaign
The World Needs Bullpups and they need you.
What is the goal of The World Needs Bullpups Campaign?
A: The campaign aims to increase access to a Gonzaga Prep education by raising funds for scholarships. Every dollar raised through your class captains directly supports tuition assistance for students who would not otherwise be able to afford a Prep education.
What is a class captain?
A: Class captains are alumni who are leading the charge for their graduating class. They help spread the word, encourage classmates to give, and keep the spirit of their Prep experience alive by giving back together.
Is there a class goal?
A. Yes! Each alumni class is rallying around a shared goal: $150,000 to fund a lasting scholarship in your class’s name. This goal can be reached if just 15 classmates step forward as leadership donors at $10,000 each ($165/month for 5 years). Whether you give $50 or $5,000, your support counts toward your class’s total and helps ensure future Bullpups have the same life-changing Prep experience you did.
Why is $150,000 the goal for each class?
A: This goal reflects the average tuition gap of a full, four-year Prep education for one student every year in perpetuity. When invested through our endowment, a $150,000 scholarship fund can generate approximately $6,000–7,000 in annual aid FOREVER.
Can I break down my gift into monthly payments?
A: Absolutely! Many donors choose to give monthly because it’s an easy way to make a lasting impact without a large upfront gift.
Here’s how a leadership gift breaks down:
$10,000 over 5 years = $2,000/year = $167/month
$10,000 over 3 years = $3,333/year = $278/month
You can set up a recurring gift right from the giving page, and we’ll take care of the rest!
Is my gift tax-deductible?
A: Yes! Gonzaga Preparatory School is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and all donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You’ll receive a receipt for your records.
