GPA Book Club, Spring 2026:

How to Raise an Adult by Julie Lythcott-Haims

Drawing on research, interviews with admissions officers, educators, and employers, and her experience as a school dean and parent, Julie examines how overparenting harms children, parents, and society. With empathy for parental fears, she offers practical strategies that emphasize letting children make mistakes to build resilience, independence, and determination.

We will be discussing and sharing takeaways from this book at the GPA Book Club Meeting during Gould’s Spring Family Weekend in April.
