I became acquainted with Gesu when Jim Higgins was honored there several years ago. He invited me to attend the ceremony. The feeling of community and dedication to the students made a huge impression. I find this the perfect way to commemorate the life of Jim Higgins.

Gesu is the best school I know to help inner city children. thrive The universally caring faculty and staff help children grow in academic performance and spirituality, as well as discover and nurture their talents in music, the arts and athletics. A Gesu School student whom my family mentored once told me, "If I win $1 million, I will use it to add a high school to Gesu. Then we'll never have to leave!"
