Dance Clinic

FCS Dance Company was started in 2020 by an FCS alumna, Mattie Tichenor, to not only develop dancers’ skills and technique, but also to cultivate a close‑knit community wherein the dancers disciple one another, growing and maturing together in their relationship with Christ.

Our approach to dance is: “We dance to glorify God, build up the church, and spread His love to the world. We are not our own. Our lives belong to Him, and we will glorify Him alone with every word, action, and movement we make.” We desire to build relationships within our community, from Kindergarten through 12th grade, encouraging the older dancers to be student‑leaders and to love what they love in front of those whom they love. This began our Mini Dance Clinic.

The Mini Dance Clinic invites Grammar students, K–5th, to join our FCS Dance Company in a performance for the school. The first Mini Dance Clinic will be held on Saturday, September 26th, 9:00am–12:00pm. Participants will learn dance skills and a routine from the FCS Dance Company. No prior dance experience needed!

Our mini dancers will then perform at FCS’ Homecoming Celebration on Friday, October 2nd. In addition to their performance, the dancers form a spirit line on the field to usher in the players for the flag football game. This is a fun, family‑friendly, all‑school event that is a highlight of the year!
