What should I do when I arrive with my cook-off challenge item?
The Homecoming Tailgate starts anytime after 10 am. When you arrive, head over to the Tailgate Cook-Off Challenge table to sign-in. From there you’ll receive instructions on how and where to set up.
What equipment will Doane provide for my food?
Doane will provide a table to set up your food, dishes, and utensils for tastings, and napkins. But if you’d like to bring your own table, feel free.
Since the event is outdoors, we have a very limited number of outlets and extension cords. We recommend bringing Sterno cans and trays or something similar to keep your item warm if needed. Most food items should be made at home and brought with you.
Are there any food items that I can't bring?
Anything is welcome, but we do ask that if your item has an ingredient that might cause an allergic reaction (i.e. nuts or dairy) you label it as such.
