CWC Mar Vista 2026-2027 Dragon Giving

Dragon Giving is an important part of sustaining what families know and love about CWC Mar Vista. Public funding provides the foundation for our school, but it does not fully cover the people, programs, resources, and experiences included in the educational model we strive to provide. Dragon Giving helps close that gap.

Your generosity is an investment directly back into our school community, supporting priorities identified in our school’s annual budget, including:

• Student Experiences: Field Trips, Assemblies, Events & Celebrations
• Enrichment: PE, Mindfulness, Creative Expression
• Student Support & Culture: SSAs
• Equitable Access: Support for Student Programs and Experiences
• Campus Improvements & Enhancements: TK Room
• And other school-specific priorities that help enrich the student experience.

Every gift—at every amount—helps us foster the joyful, nurturing, and innovative learning environment our students deserve.

Our Suggested Annual Goal is $1,000 per Family

Together, we aim to raise $230,000 through Dragon Giving for the 2026–2027 school year.

This benchmark is a planning tool, not a required family contribution. Every family’s circumstances are different. Some families may give more, some less, and others may participate by sharing their fundraising link with friends, relatives, coworkers, and other supporters. Every gift and every act of participation moves us closer to our shared goal.

Want to spread out your giving? Families can choose a recurring giving option to break their contribution into smaller installments rather than making one gift all at once. Whether you make a one-time gift or give over time, your support contributes to the same shared school goal.

Dragon Giving Milestones

Donate the amounts below by the listed deadlines, and you’ll be entered into a drawing to win an exciting prize!

• $500 by October 15, 2026
• $1,000 by December 1, 2026
• $1,000+ by our Spring Walkathon date

Prizes for each drawing:

• Elementary school: Three students will each win School Administrator for a Day.
• Middle school: Three students will each win a food delivery at lunch.

Our Aim: 100% Family Participation

Participation can look different for every family. A gift of any amount matters, and sharing your student’s fundraising link with your network is our favorite meaningful way to participate.

Broad participation demonstrates the strength of our school community and can also help tell a compelling story to prospective funders and community partners. Most importantly, every dollar raised benefits the collective school community—not individual students based on how much they or their families raise.
