In Computer Science class, eighth-grade students stepped into the role of app developers, tackling meaningful problems by designing, coding, and testing their own original apps. From brainstorming ideas to building fully functional apps, students applied creativity, critical thinking, and technical skills every step of the way. The project culminated in an exciting App Party, where students showcased their apps, shared how they brought their ideas to life, and invited faculty and students to explore their creative solutions!
Second graders took an active role in their faith during the second-grade family teaching liturgy, where they taught their parents about the rituals and preparations of the Mass with guidance from Father Jordan McConway, O.P. Throughout the year, all second grade students—including those from different faith backgrounds—will embrace Goal I, a personal and active faith in God. It was a joy to witness their growing love for God and their deepening understanding of Him. May they continue to feel supported and encouraged as they take this beautiful step in their faith journey.
Today, our third- and fourth-grade students continued their exciting participation in the Arc Stages workshop. Professional actors from Arc Stages visited Sacred Heart Greenwich, beginning with a performance in the theater before heading into classrooms to guide students through the process of writing their own plays. Through this experience, students explored storytelling in meaningful ways, expressing themselves creatively while strengthening essential skills in collaboration and communication.
