About

Crane’s current capital campaign, Impact Our Future, is big and bold. In an incredible first step, some early Campaign momentum helped us create the new Wolf Performing Arts Center (Wolf PAC), where our community comes together every day for Assembly and students are given a chance to shine through musical performances, Spotlights, 8th Grade Speeches, and other public speaking and performing arts opportunities. While this was an exciting start, there is still much work to be done.

As Crane closes in on its 100th anniversary in 2028, we don’t want to settle for anything less than insightful and courageous plans. As such, the rest of the Impact Our Future Campaign will center our Staffulty and students as we focus on finishing up the Staffulty Support Fund and building two new classrooms for the Lower School to provide the best possible learning environment for our students.

The Staffulty Support Fund: Our Staffulty have always been at the center of our students’ success, and at the heart of what makes a Crane education one of lasting significance. Our highest priority with the Staffulty Support Fund is to support and elevate our educators by creating something significant and enduring with which to address the affordability gap in this community. This new and restricted endowment fund will generate, on an ongoing basis, investment returns that will be used to supplement Staffulty compensation beyond what can be accomplished within the constraints of the school’s operating budget. It is in essence a love letter to our teachers and educators and a way to show our profound gratitude for the impact they have on our students every day.

Completing the Vision: More than 20 years ago, the Lower and Upper School Art Rooms and Brittingham Family Library opened on Crane’s campus. Now, we aim to complete the initial scope of that original project by adding two new Lower School classrooms, reimagining the Art Room deck, revitalizing the lunch area, and adding hardscaping and landscaping to the south end of Crane’s campus to be more welcoming for visitors and guests. This project will allow us to transition all Lower School grades (Kinder through 5th Grade) to a two-section model, ensuring small class sizes and providing the best learning environment for our students. It also supports Crane’s strategic goal of increased support for neurodivergent students, as it will provide a more quiet and calm classroom experience. Our goal is to begin construction in June 2026, in order to minimize disruption, and to begin utilizing the new spaces and classrooms during the 2027-2028 school year.

We look forward to sharing more information with you about these priorities, and would love for you to join us in this monumental effort, ensuring Crane’s continued success now and into the future.

Opportunities to be recognized:

The Staffulty Support Fund—Six donor panels were installed outside the Wolf PAC in January 2026. A seventh panel will be installed by June 30, 2026. Please consider making a gift today so we may add you or your family to this next piece of gratitude and recognition.

Completing the Vision—Naming opportunities exist for the two new classrooms ($400K each), the Lunch Pavilion ($300K), and Art Deck ($200K). Additional naming opportunities are provided for each of the 18 new picnic tables ($50K each). We welcome the opportunity to recognize you, your family, or a dedication to a loved one.
