What is Saints Giving Day?
Saints Giving Day is Canterbury’s annual day of giving– 24 hours where we invite the entire Canterbury community to come together to give back and celebrate all the incredible people and programs that make this such a special place.
What is the Canterbury Annual Fund and why is it important?
All gifts on Saints Giving Day go to the Canterbury Annual Fund which is the School’s yearly fundraising effort that invites all members of our community to support Canterbury through unrestricted gifts. These funds are used within the same fiscal year to strengthen every part of campus life– academics, arts, athletics, student life, campus maintenance and faculty support– ensuring that every student benefits from the full Canterbury experience. The Annual Fund operates on a fiscal year that runs from July 1 to June 30.
Unrestricted gifts to the School make sure that all the things that we love most about Canterbury– the dedicated teachers, small class sizes, robust arts and athletic programs and vibrant campus life– not only continue but thrive for the current and future generations of Saints. Because the gifts to the Annual Fund are unrestricted their impact is truly unlimited!
Can I give to a specific program?
Saints Giving Day is a focused, 24-hour effort specifically for the Canterbury Annual Fund. These unrestricted gifts are vital because they provide the School with the flexibility to support every student, faculty member, and program on campus. That’s the beauty of the Annual Fund—because it is unrestricted, your gift benefits every single Saint, teacher, and program this year!
I already gave this year, does that count?
If you’ve already made a gift to the Canterbury Annual Fund– thank you! Only gifts given on Saints Giving Day count towards our totals so we encourage you to consider making a participation gift to help us unlock our special challenges and matches on April 22nd.
