In honor of Franklin Edison Phelps
Franklin Edison Phelps, age 56 of White Bear Lake, died on December 20, 2014. Frank Phelps, philanthropy consultant for Minnesota nonprofits, devoted family man, and grand giver of his whole heart. Preceded in death by brother Bowen (Nancy). Survived by beloved son Samuel; fiancée Christine Anderson; daughters Amber and Paige; grandson Carter; loving parents Peter and Saralee; siblings Erin Phelps-Stark (David), Bill (Jennifer), and Louise Page (Ben); nieces Molly, Matilda; nephews Kyle, Jason, Keith, Anthony, Koven, Christopher, and Teddy. From Doug Sprinthall, 12/25/2014 In your lifetime, you are fortunate to meet a handful of people who you remember with a glad heart forever. I met Frank as a 17 year old transferring to Breck for my final year of high school. Memory fades and I don't really recall if it was my first day, but it was early on that he greeted me and quickly became my friend. We crossed paths many times over the years and it was always special. Good bye my friend. From Karen, 12/25/2014 Frank had spirit. I am sure he'll be energizing pep rallies in heaven. From Dave Thwaits, 01/02/2015 Frank and I attended Breck together. Unfortunately we lost touch over the years but I will never forget his incredible enthusiasm and warm hearted personality. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends. Frank will be missed. From Mitch Toryanski, 01/02/2015 Frank and I attended school together beginning in 1964 until 1976. As a kid, he had a sweet disposition and a zest for life. He is one of those unforgettable people whose memory evokes warmth and smiles. May his memory be eternal with the Lord. From Kimberley Fiterman-Duepner, 04/13/2026 I first remember Frank back in 7th grade when I used to hang out with him and Peter at Ruth Wilson’s house. Somehow, I don’t recall exactly when, Frank became the (energizer bunny) of our pep rally's. I remember him fondly pounding on that drum saying GIMME a “B” and continuing to spell B-R-E-C-K out, getting louder and louder until he burst with enthusiasm in getting everyone excited for the upcoming game. Ten years after when Leah and I were working on the reunion letter, we came up with the idea to make a stamp we could use on the envelope, so our classmates knew it was regarding our reunion and not a fund raising letter. So I drew a drum with a hand and Give me a “B” on top, so we could have a rubber stamp made to use every five years for our reunion mailings. It’s our class tagline and a tribute to Frank who I’ll always remember for his warmth, charisma, and dedication to our pep rallies and Breck School.

In memory of Skip Davis
Lester Wade Davis Jr. (Skip) 1958-2025 St. Paul, MN Age 66, passed away early Sunday, October 26, 2025. Skip was born in 1958 to Lester and Ottolee Davis of Minneapolis, Minnesota. His professional musician parents undoubtedly contributed to Skip’s early interest and talent for playing the drums and other instruments.  Skip attended Breck School in Minneapolis and the University of Minnesota. While in school he played the drums for numerous bands (Amy and The Airedales, Romeo, The Perks). He also developed a career in video editing. Editing for University Community Video, Northwest Teleproductions (later Broadview Media) and Twin Cities Public Television, Skip garnered numerous editorial awards for his skilled work (seven Emmys!). Skip is preceded in death by his wife Patsy Herbert who was the light of his life. Before she passed, Patsy encouraged him to have a double lung transplant. He braved the highs and lows of this journey over the last six years.  Thanks to Sholom Home in St. Paul for their expert care and to his friends and family, particularly niece Annie Conley, who helped Skip maintain his quality of life throughout. Skip was known for his quick wit, strong opinions and exquisite taste in music. We’ll miss him at the next concert. Rock on Skip!

In honor of Deborah Anne Reynolds
Deborah Anne Reynolds, age 60 of Burnsville formerly of St. Paul, passed away unexpectedly on June 4, 2019. Deborah was a loving and caring registered nurse for 30 years and was recently working for the Fountains Senior Living in Lakeville. She is preceded in death by her infant son, Collin; parents, Paul and Mary Curtis, and brother, Douglas Curtis. Deborah is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, David, and sons, Christopher and Dwight Reynolds, also by sister, Diane Curtis, and other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be donated to S.I.D.S. research. From Susan, I went to Breck with Debbie. I am in shock about her sudden passing. She was a great friend, very thoughtful, and loving person who would do anything for anyone. I will miss her. Susan From Mary Griffith, So very sorry to hear of Debbie's death. Such a good person should be on this earth, being an earth angel, yet God has other plans. When I think of Debbie, there are nothing but good feelings and smiles. She is loved by many. Always a staff advocate at the 2 hospitals. Caring and compassionate. And I was always impressed by her energy: she is the only one I knew who had Christmas cards and holiday cookies done at Thanksgiving! She is missed.
