About
It’s almost Carnival time in the Virgin Islands—what does this all mean?
Carnival in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, is a major cultural celebration with festivities spanning several weeks. On May 1st, we will take to Main Street, which will be filled with joy, dance, smiling faces, and music as we bring our entire island together. It’s only been happening since 1952!
Why should your student join? Carnival encourages creativity, confidence, and self-expression as children perform, dress up, and take part in group activities. Most importantly, it strengthens their sense of belonging by bringing families and the wider community together, allowing children to grow up proud of their Caribbean identity while building lasting memories.
Our costume selections typically follow the theme set for the gala each year, and this year is no different. We are bringing Hollywood glamour to Main Street on May 1st!
We hope to see you there.
