What is the Agnes Irwin Fund?
The Agnes Irwin Fund is our school’s annual fundraising campaign for giving that directly supports our operating budget. We start raising funds on July 1st and have until June 30th the following year to meet our goal. Our annual fund supports our Faculty & Staff, our Girls (including Academic Programming, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Technology, Tuition Assistance, the Arts, Athletics), and our Campus.
Why are Agnes Irwin Alumnae asked to give to Agnes Irwin?
The Annual Fund is an integral part of the operating budget for Agnes Irwin. Gifts to the annual fund are used to finance both part of the cost of educating each girl, as well as the unique dimensions that ensure we are living up to our mission of empowering girls and inspiring women each and every day. Every girl, family, and member of our faculty & staff ultimately benefits from a successful annual fund campaign. As an alumna, you benefited directly from Annual fund donors and we ask you to honor your personal chapter in the history of The Agnes Irwin School.
Doesn't tuition cover the costs of the school?
Tuition does not cover the cost of operating the school. Most if not all private schools rely on the Annual Fund to support ‘the gap,’ the amount that tuition doesn’t cover.
Additionally, the more successful the Agnes Irwin Fund is, the more dynamic we can make the school and differentiate it from others.
Does Agnes Irwin publish a list of donors to the Agnes Irwin Fund?
The school’s Annual Report, published each year in the fall, lists each donor to the Agnes Irwin Fund and shares information about its’ success. You may choose to be anonymous if you do not want your name listed.
I can't give enough to make a difference.
EVERY GIFT MAKES A DIFFERENCE! The cumulative giving effect of the Agnes Irwin community is tremendous. The overall financial contribution is critical, and it is an incredibly powerful differentiator for a school to be able to boast a high percentage of participation from its parents, past parents, alumnae, grandparents and friends. It is a great marketing tool to say the least.
