Tyomkin’s work is deeply influenced by the Russian school of painting, a tradition that emerged in the late nineteenth century and emphasizes strong draftsmanship, atmosphere, and emotional realism. He studied under Russian painters and earned his MFA from New York Academy of Art. His artwork has been exhibited in galleries across New York and California, and he remains active in the local artist communities wherever he lives.
