The property is located along cliffside beaches on the Atlantic Coast in a town near Lourinha, Portugal. The semi-attached (one wall) villa has unimpeded views of the Atlantic Ocean with amazing views from the living area, two of the three bedrooms, and the pool deck. A short 15-minute walk to the beach. There is a private heated pool in the villa and access to a full gym in the community. The home is reverse living to take full advantage of the views and is new construction finished in 2022. There are three en suite, large-sized bedrooms and another half bath in the living area. Two decks (one off the main living area and the pool deck) are generously sized and accommodate the preferred local activity - relaxing and taking advantage of the 300 days of sun per year with some wine and local fare. The home accommodates a maximum of 6 but for a larger group a second property in the same development could be available (for rent from a different owner and a separate fee).

The area boasts amazing surfing beaches and lovely little towns including the 12th century walled city of Obidos (20 minutes away), the quaint fishing village of Peniche (20 minutes away), the world-famous big-wave surfing destination in the unique town of Nazare (45 minutes away) (take a look for the HBO Max documentary The 100 Foot Wave), the royal city of Alcobaca with its famous monastery and cathedral (45 minutes away), the Castles of Sintra (45 minutes away), and the former headquarters of the Knights Templar in Tomar (1 1/2 hours away). Day trips to Lisbon are an easy 45 minute drive. Tour the wineries of the Lourinha region with a private guide that can be arranged. Or venture on a long day trip or short overnight in Porto - an easy 2 1/2 hour drive.

Date selection to be arranged with the owner - a Prep grad. Weather is similar to mid-coast California so you will likely focus on Spring through Early Fall but is enjoyable year round.
