Inspiration: “Breeze at Rockland Breakwater” was inspired by my love of the Maine coast and the colorful energy of working harbors. The painting features the iconic Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse, which sits at the end of a nearly mile long granite breakwater built in the late 1800s to protect the harbor from coastal storms. Through bold colors and playful shapes, I hoped to capture the joy, charm, and timeless spirit of a breezy summer day on the Maine coast.”
