“Recently I took a trip to Bermuda and with my camera and I saw Bermuda through a different perspective that I’ve never experienced before. As a Bermudian-American, I sometimes feel disconnected from my heritage due to the fact that I live in America. This trip helped me rekindle my connection to my heritage. Photography was the vehicle that allowed me to revitalize my connection with my culture. In addition, this trip allowed me to break down the stereotypes surrounding Bermudian culture through photographing their traditions.”
