A Full Day of Cape Cod Sight Fishing with Brewster Alum Kevin LaCroix ‘15 of Solstice Fly Fishing.
Spend a full day on the water learning the art of shallow-water sight fishing for striped bass on Cape Cod with experienced local guide Kevin LaCroix.
Experience Cape Cod’s shallow-water environment through the eyes of a Cape Cod guide who’s grown up on the Capes tidal flats and has devoted his life to sight fishing. Kevin’s fly-fishing background spans Cape Cod, the Bahamas, yearly trips to Western Europe, and beyond, with a particular passion for the technical aspects of fly fishing. Whether you are an experienced fly angler looking to refine your sight-fishing skills or newer to the sport and looking to learn the fundamentals, the day will be tailored to you.
You’ll spend the day aboard an 18ft hand-built wooden flats skiff, crafted on Cape Cod by a local wooden boat builder, Walter Baron of Old Wharf Dory. The boat’s built with shallow-water fishing, simplicity, and the Cape’s unique environment in mind, creating an intimate and traditional way to explore the flats.
Every fly rod aboard the skiff is hand-built by Kevin himself through Solstice Fly Fishing. From the boat beneath you to the rods in your hands, this is a fishing experience built around craftsmanship, simplicity, and a deep connection to the places we fish.
The trip is valid for the 2027 Season May - October on a mutually agreed upon date.
A note from Kevin - It is an honor and a genuine joy to contribute this experience to support the wonderful work of Brewster Academy and the lasting impact they have on their students and community.
