Honoring Sally Smith's Legacy
About
In 1967 Sally Smith started The Lab School when she saw how her son’s learning differences were hindering him from excelling in a traditional school. From that personal need, a community was born, and for the past 58 years, The Lab School of Washington has continued to nurture the needs of our ever expanding community, empowering our students to embrace their differences as advantages.
Today, we ask that you join our giving community by making a donation of $5, $15, $25 or $50. Your contribution - no matter the size- helps shape the learning environment our children deserve while honoring the legacy our founder built with love. Help us end the school year strong, because when 100% of our parents participate, we have one strong community - the way Sally intended.
Update #1 - a year ago
Doorknobs, Paint Markers, and Basketballs - 5 dollars goes a long way at Lab
Help us reach our goal of 100% parent participation.
At Lab School, your gift of $5, $10, $15, or $25 makes an impact on your student’s day to day learning, by becoming:
- white board markers, pencil sharpeners, books, colored pencils, and highlighters that don’t bleed through novel pages in the classroom
- laminating sheets, fluorescent light covers, and decor to support their learning in a vivid and comfortable learning environment
- LED lights, alligator clips, and soldering mats for STEM projects
- door knobs, L brackets, hinges, wood glue, and sanding blocks in the design lab
- paint pens, photo paper, scissors, colored pencils, and sculpting tools in the studio
- soccer balls, footballs, lanyards, team t-shirts, scrimmage vests, and ice packs on the field or in the gym.
Your gift of 5 dollars could be the spark that lights up a student’s day.
